Alison Evans is the co-founder of Gulf Island Seaplanes, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s vision for sustainable and accessible air travel. With a strong commitment to community connectivity and environmental stewardship, Alison has been instrumental in the companies regional growth and sustainable tourism development.
Alison is Gitxsan from Hagwilget Village First Nation (Hazelton BC) and living in Nanaimo the past 20 years. Alison is committed to working closely with Indigenous communities to enhance accessibility and promote tourism opportunities.
In addition to her leadership at Gulf Island Seaplanes, Alison serves as a dedicated board member with 4TVI Social Enterprise Group as well as Indigenous Tourism BC where she advocates for innovative business models that drive social impact and promotes authentic Indigenous cultural experiences, economic empowerment, and responsible tourism practices.
