SUMMARY:Oxide and Shibori Dyeing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This is a continuation of our previous workshop on the Japanese art of Shibori tie dyeing\; however\, new participants are very welcome too! Participants will develop and combine basic binding and clamping techniques and explore sewing methods in Shibori using hand stitching\, machine work and application of small objects onto the surface fabric. The class will also include contact rust printing using found objects. Each person will take home a completed set of dyed fabrics.
